The cabin labs are modular, mobile temporary laboratory facilities often used in emergency, disaster relief, disease control, and other situations. They utilize prefabricated containers or mobile units, professionally designed and equipped, to be quickly set up and put into use.
The cabin labs can provide various experimental environments and equipment as needed, such as biosafety and chemical analysis, and are widely used in infectious disease detection, food safety inspection, environmental monitoring, and other fields. Their advantages include high flexibility, a short construction period, strong adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively under various complex conditions.
Function Areas of the Cabin Labs
The main structure of the cabin labs is divided into three independent core functional areas (each core functional area is equipped with a buffer room) and other areas such as the reagent preparation area, sample processing area, amplification analysis area, decontamination room, RCR corridor, and air conditioning room.
Specimen Reception Area
Staff members check the information of the delivered specimens, inspect the sample quality and quantity, carry out initial disinfection, and upload specimen data.
Reagent Preparation Area
Staff members prepare reagents in the laboratory. The basic equipment in the reagent preparation area includes a clean bench, a refrigerator, and a pass-through window. Staff members must enter the room through the buffer room, and samples must be passed to the sample processing area through the pass-through window.
Sample Processing Area
Staff members conduct sample processing in the sample processing area of the laboratory. Common equipment in the room includes an automated nucleic acid extractor, a centrifuge, a biosafety cabinet, a refrigerator, and a pass-through window. Staff members enter the room through the buffer room, and samples are passed to the amplification analysis area through the pass-through window.
Amplification Analysis Area
Staff members perform gene amplification and analysis of samples in the amplification analysis area. Common equipment in the room includes a fluorescent quantitative PCR instrument and a pass-through window. Staff members must enter the room through the buffer room.
Decontamination Room
Materials generated within the cabin labs must be disinfected before being taken outside to protect the surrounding environment and prevent the leakage of infectious substances. The common equipment in the room includes an autoclave, and the room is designed to maintain normal pressure. The materials to be disinfected are passed through the pass-through window connected to the clean corridor into the decontamination room.
Medical Waste Room
Staff members correctly disinfect and seal medical waste in the medical waste treatment room and handle it according to relevant regulations.
